Remembering marco
On May 8, 2015, we lost a son, a brother, and a great friend. Marco's legacy lives on through his beloved Miata and we will honor his memory by continuing the work he started. Though he will be missed, his kindness, fearlessness, and humility will live on in our hearts.
Kat Canlas
Marco was a great guy who will be sorely missed by all. There are now a number of people supporting the "Marco Canlas Project" in his memory. The purpose of this group is to finish his car the way he would have wanted it. His car and racing were an important part of his life and this project will keep his memory and legacy alive through his Miata. A group of close KINOD friends are working hard to prep the car, with contributions coming from individuals and companies to get it finished before Miatas at MRLS 2015. The car for the moment will be in Lancaster and eventually his sister Kat will take ownership.
If you'd like to see the car and pay respects, and to meet Kat and the friends who have been donating their spare time work on the car, please stop in to the Marco Canlas garage over the Miatas at MRLS weekend. Kat will also be leading everyone out in Marco's car for Saturday Parade Laps, as well as saying a few words at the Saturday evening Banquet.
