About the Event

The first Miatas at Mazda Raceway - called "Miatas at MRLS" - was a two-day event that ran on March 21-22nd, 2009 as a 20th birthday party for the Miata. It was such a huge success that we immediately started planning for the 2010 version, which was even bigger and better, followed by 2012. We're doing it again in 2013 on April 27-28. Here's an idea of what to expect.

Our goal is to have a fun, safe, exciting weekend with something for everyone. The event is restricted to Miatas only. Two full days of track time with nothing but Miatas in sight.

On track, we have run groups to suit every level of driver, from total novice to professional. If you'd like an instructor to ride with you, we'll happily provide you with one. If participants want to go for a ride, you're welcome to do so. We'll also have parade laps for participants at lunchtime on both days so anyone can see the track from the driver's seat.

Off track, there's a car show in the paddock with a range of Miatas from pristine time capsules to the latest modified rides. A vendor alley will give you the chance to meet some of your favorite Miata professionals and possibly take a ride in one of their cars. Keep your eyes peeled, there will be more events coming.

Friday evening, we're having a bonfire on the beach at the host hotel along with early registration from 4-8 pm.

Saturday evening, there's a banquet with food and some great guest speakers.

We'll have a number of guests that you'll want to meet as well. People who were there when the Miata was born, people who have helped make it what it is today and people who will be shaping the Miata in the future.
